“World Music Day” was yesterday. I had no idea till one of my post was published on Pluggd.in. The post before mine on Pluggd.in was about world music day.
It must have been a coincidence. I had written a post about music for startups before i wrote the post “Shoot Me If I Ever Say These Things To A Startup Team”. It was sitting in my “to be published list”
Strange Coincidence. In some mysterious way, the link about World Music Day on pluggd.in wanted me to find out about it! Just a quick look at Wikipedia, i realised this “world music day” is about “world music” which is traditional music. My favourite world music is sufi music. And i have a unfinished post on “World Music” and running. Now its getting spooky!
Though, It fits well with my theory, that not many people acknowledge the role of “Luck/coincidence” in their startup journey. I believe there are four things that make any journey (startup or otherwise) worthwhile.
Luck, Belief, Purpose, Rhythm. But thats for another post.
Here is my “The Ultimate Classic Rock Collection for Startups – Series I”. This is all classic rock. This is best listened to, on almost full volume, in the middle of the night. If you are interested in the “world music” list, drop me a line.

Well, if you are in a crappy job and thinking of starting up, here’s one!
“The percentage you’re paying is too high priced
While you’re living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he’s made on your dreams”
Traffic – Low spark of the high heeled boys

Almost all of the songs are from 70s and 80s. Nothing contemporary?
